Kristin Stewart's character was a very honest representation of lots and lots of people I went to high school with (and in this case, that's a good thing. I may not want to be Facebook friends with all of them, but I wouldn't mind watching them act our their wounded lives on screen, if that makes any sense). She wants so badly to do the "right" thing, but keeps fucking it up in spite of herself. It started to get that "hard to watch" feeling towards the end, which usually means it's working. And although Kristen Wiig's shtick grates on me after awhile, her "We have to turn off all these lights" line and the banana routine were both priceless. I saw this last night, and I really liked it.
