Woah, someone explained the title and actually explained it well. I'm still not crazy about it, but at least it makes sense.

Thank you for not copping out and giving the same makes-no-sense "this is not a Bond movie" review. This movie rocked. I'm going to see it again.

A 'quantum' is the smallest possible unit of energy. You can't have half a quantum. I think it's called Quantum of Solace because 007 did get some solace from his revenge, but in an immeasurably, indivisibly small dose.

She IS spectacularly gorgeous, but what does she weigh? about 70 pounds? she's a wisp, isn't she.

Glad you liked this, I'm looking forward to it!

I just saw "Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist," being a long time indie rocker and adolescent a heart, and while it def. had some moments, it also had strangely flat, dull moments that just didn't connect. Odd. But overall, it was fun. Makes me glad I don't have a teenager in the house, yet, wanting to see these movies. Gulp. I know, it's coming. A few more years....

Oh, how disappointing to read this! I love westerns and was holding out hope for this.... (I just wrote up "True Grit," and confessed my secret admiration for the western... My blog is about family movies that are cool, unusual, classic, and, well, not Pixar.) Funny you share my thoughts about Renee Z. I'm not sure she's all that.

I think that the industry and media that surround it are to blame. Seems tough to rise above that shit and not get real cynical real fast.

Good actors that aren't fabulous still sometimes get the luxury of professionalism. I don't think Philip Seymour Hoffman is in the tabloids much... but that's because nobody wants to see his pale ass on the beach.

I'm going to go eat 50 eggs whilst listing to plastic jesus.

Sounds like a bad rip-off of High Plains Drifter, a surprisingly good 1973 Clint Eastwood vanity project.
